you give it to the salvation army, and a dude like Griz will pick it up for $1. I'm back in Hood, and gotta get the Automaton snow swords out there. If you see John Vickroy floating around Hood River today, wish him a happy birthday. Mike Ronnie's little bro, Ted, turns 21 today as well. Snowboarding Saves Lives!Wednesday, July 02, 2008

Odds and Sods
Nate Pahl nailed the contents pic of Stuck magazine a couple months ago. If you're feeling charitable, hit up joesinger.com and make sure these ladies go home with full stomachs. Joe stumbled onto this gem while searching for domain names. Note: this site has ZERO to do with our own Joe Singer, but it's funny nonetheless. Me, i'm on my way to Hood, should be there by tomorrow for some summer shred action. Went to catch Ming & Ping in Reno last night with Joe and L.I.Z., ended up running into P-Wenks and C-Murder as well. Small world getting smaller. Snowboarding Saves Lives!Wednesday, June 25, 2008
Back In Action
Ok, just got back to California 20 hours ago. SE Asia was awesome. Indo waves were the most consistent I've ever experienced. Vietnam is beautiful. And Thailand is off the hook. Next destination is Hood for the camps, should be there by this weekend. Here's a snap of Marcin and myself during some down time on Sumbawa. Photo: Paul Van 't Hof. Thought I was Lagging Before?
I'm gonna be on the super lag until July, 'cause i've weaseled my way into an Indo surf trip. So if you need to find me, Bali and Thailand are good places to start looking. I'll try to continue to post, internet cafe's allowing. Until then, keep peeping Jero'd shot of Taka planting a hand in Katsandu, Japan. But July will be Hood time, so see y'all there! Ciao for now. Lag Lag
When I'm not lagging on the updates, I've been busy getting all the Automaton production stuff ready to move over the summer, hanging out at Davis, and getting summer plans locked down. We're taking Automaton to the next level! When Tahoe resorts have shut down and snow is going away, Liz and Joe play doctor instead of play snowboarding. DA is a character on season 2 of the Block on G4. Check it out Sundays at 8pm PST. Snowboarding Saves Lives!Thursday, April 17, 2008

Ultimate Allstars
was a new event held last weekend at Okurayama in Sapporo. Agent and Active Spirit team member, Takahiro Sogai, won rail jam and got 3rd place in the big air! Check out the MacGyver run in to the jump here and here. When there's snow, there's a way. Snowboarding Saves Lives!Tuesday, April 08, 2008

The Nate Edit
In his spare time, Nate has put this tight little edit together. Give it a peep by clickiting here. Also, a buddy of ours has launched what is aimed to be the first ever snowboard database. A wiki for shred sticks, so to speak. Check out Rider's Voice and leave reviews for your favorite snow swords! Snowboarding Saves Lives!Monday, March 17, 2008

Otome Power
From what I recall, Japanese shreds all seem super stoked to be on the snow. Fresh from the homies at Master's Tradition shop in Ozawa, Japan is this shot of a Japanese lass steezing it out in front of the crowd. Snowboarding Saves Lives!Tuesday, March 11, 2008

Brent Michael's Rock of Love
Last weekend we were in Yazawa for a rail comp and some night action. Post-comp party was at Blue Balls Cafe, and Brent Michaels was on point with purple jeans, rocking some local chick's shades, and a monster hangover the next morning. Standard, really. While We Were Away
Nate Pahl was dialing in his switch 50-50's on the mississippi rail (which is not in Mississippi). And he is plenty stoked about it. Snowboarding Saves Lives!Saturday, March 01, 2008
Japan Tour Continues
It's tough to keep updates going when you're on the road. Shoddy internet service, hours in transit, working out accommodation, these are just some of the excuses. But Japan's been getting pounded with snow, so the 1 thing we can be sure of is that we're gonna be on it. Japan Agent Taka is about to witness Joe P landing in the good stuff. Seki Onsen, Japan. Photo: Jerod Anklam. Snowboarding Saves Lives!Wednesday, February 27, 2008
Jokes are over
Japan is getting hammered with snow. 6 meters in Seki to be exact. I'm not joking, and that's not a typo. 18 feet of fresh white gold. Joe P bomb dropped a 2 story into a ravine at Akakura Onsen last night. And as I type this, we're getting ready to hit up Seki for the day. Thank god i have my powder 149. Snow is stresses out comp organizers and ruins pipes. But Brent Anklam wasn't stressed about this fs 7 at the Open. Snowboarding Saves Lives!Tuesday, February 26, 2008

AutoSnowCo. team Japan
This is the 1st time Joe P has left the West Coast, and now he's in the Far East. This is also the 1st time the Anklams have ventured outside the USA. I haven't been back to Japan in 15 years. Lessons learned so far: There are no robots in Narita airport. And Japan doesn't want your diarrhea, so leave it at customs. Really. Listen to the announcement. Heading up to Bandai Alts later today. Should be on the snow soon enough with 'blizzard' conditions in the forecast. Wootang, over and out. Snowboarding Saves Lives!Thursday, February 21, 2008

Rice Competition

Japan is only 3 days away, and in preparation, we've been hitting up the "rice competition" (and a box of giant pocky) courtesy of Automaton's Japan distributor. A collection of rice treats that look cool. We feel so authentic. If eating these things help Brent and Joe wreck house at the Open, then keep 'em coming! Snowboarding Saves Lives!

1/2 of team japan
The brothers Anklam, putting out the vibe at the AutoSnowCo. tent during the Mammoth demo days this week. Brent has secured a spot in the Nippon Open this month, so that means trip to Japan! With Jerod capturing all the moments on film, and Joe P up to his usual antics, Japan is gonna be fun! Snowboarding Saves Lives!Sunday, February 10, 2008
wanna shred '09 snow swords?
Of course you do. Then get with a shop and hit up the on-snow demo at Mammoth Monday through Wednesday. We'll see ya there. Here's a shot of R.A.D, by Chris Dowd. Not at Mammoth, but shred-worthy nonetheless. Snowboarding Saves Lives!Wednesday, February 06, 2008
